Review summary

Weather was great the 99.99 % of the time. The Captain took us into the original Inside Passage (Grenville Channel). Most cruise ships don't go this route but stay in the easier to navigate Hecate Strait. Kudos to the Captain! Had a great time, already booked another trip (out of Seattle this time) for next May.

Embarkation

3 out of 5
I am rateing as only OK due to the difficulty getting around Canada Place. It's large and it was hard finding where to check our checked bags. Also, I was traveling with my disabled mother (who was in a wheelchair) which added to the difficulty getting around.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Tried to get an ADA compliant stateroom, but we booked to late for one. Although the cabin was just fine for me, my mom had issues getting in and out of the bathroom and needed my help with the latter. The stateroom was too small to use the scooter that we had rented, so wasted money there. The cabin stewards did their utmost to make us comfortable, they were great!

Ship tip

If you need an ADA room, reserve well in advance.

My mom and I spent 3 nights in Victoria in 2011 while on a road trip. Took the MV Coho over from Port Angeles. We drove up to Butchart Gardens and got a Entry fee and High Tea special for $50CAN. This was in October, the weather was great and practically everything was still blooming. On the way back we stopped at the Butterfly Gardens. After my glasses got back to normal from being fogged up (all of the species of Butterflies and the other birds and plants are from the Tropics), it was also worth the trip. We don't get in until 6:30 pm, so I will not be too aggressive in my plans. Thanks for the advice though. Glad you enjoyed yours.

I see you will be going to Victoria. Don't miss the Butchart Gardens excursion. Ours was fantastic in 2015 with Celebrity. I will gladly tell you about it if you'd like.
