Review summary

How can they serve such poor quality food, i.e. Uncooked pizza, frozen seafood microwaved and worst of all most of the food was reheated and served over and over again.

Excellent point . What made me give the food service such high marks ? I like poached eggs , every time I went for mine , I would receive two freshly made ones as opposed to seeing the chap pull one out of iced water and reheat it . My daughters have nut allergies but me and my wife don't , and like the choice of different breads . No problem , we were given our own basket , whilst my daughter s were given there own basket of fresh white rolls . Small things I know , but they contributed to a great experience . None of the meals would go on my 10 or even 50 most memorable meals , but every day we ate solid , decent food which was served with a smile .

I am sorry this was your experience. Hopefully your concerns did not fall on unconcerned ears. I cannot understand how people can critique or question your experience. It didn’t sound like you were expecting above minimum standards. Some people love Red Lobster and think Olive Garden is the bomb. I had hoped that this forum would be respectful and adult. Just because you like the ship or the line doesn’t mean you are allowed to discount others experience. You could have been table mates and had different experiences.

I suppose it depends what you expect. I first cruised with HAL in 2000 , I paid a premium price , and the food was amazing , particularly the fresh fruit selection , and the choice to have flambé service at your table . As I remember there were no specialty restaurants , the dining room was where the best food was served . As competition has made cruising more affordable , food quality has inevitably suffered , so my views on the quality of the food has been tempered by comparisons with other cruise likes , rather than halcyon days of the past .

I’m wondering if you and the last person to comment were on the same cruise. Date is very close. They had 5* review , while you complained about the food. The food is very important . I will be on this ship In the next couple months. I hope I can give a good review after. Fingers crossed . The food is so important as well as a comfy cabin, nice staff etc.
