Great Land Cruise Tour

Sail Date: August 05, 2009

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

Overall very nice.

Pros: The views - the landscape is wonderful

Cons: The fact that the cruise ships own absolutely everything

Recommends Volendam? Yes!

Food and Dining
Good food, it was flavorful and the salmon was moist. For first time cruisers remember the dining room is NOT just for dinner. We made this mistake.
Cabin / Stateroom
Very clean, non-smoking room yet the couch had a cig burn in it which made me question why the cushion wasn't at least turned.
Service and Staff
Very nice people.
Ship Quality
Staterooms were very clean. Some of the public spaces were starting to show wear - nothing bad though
There was always something to do. There was always space (not overcrowded) to participate in any of the activities.
Skagway, Alaska
The cruise ships own this port (the locals called it the Tijuana of Alaska because to this - I agree!)
Don't Miss: Nothing
Juneau, Alaska
Best was the pilot choice, I would have liked to see the vistors center at the glaicer
