Review summary

This was an memorable trip. The 12 night cruise was plenty of time to get over jet lag and unwind. The staff went out of their way to please.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
We arrived early and there was no line. The process was smooth without any difficulty.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The food was very good. We had the soda drink package expecting them to have the coke freedom dispenser with all the flavored drinks but this ship doesn’t have this option yet. If I had known I probably would not have purchased a drink package.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Having so many ports there wasn’t a lot of activities during port days. But during sea days I stayed busy by the pool enjoying the music and games. I felt the gym was well equipped and the exercise classes were fun. We had some very windy weather and the top deck was closed at times. I never did see the climbing wall open

Entertainment

3 out of 5
The stage shows were entertaining.

Children's Programs

Not traveling with children

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our room steward was awesome. He was very attentive and worked hard to meet all our needs. Our waiters were excellent. They tried to anticipate our needs and they even worked to get our favorite desserts even though it was not on the menu.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship was clean and had a easy layout to maneuver. It had accessible elevators that were rarely crowded.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We had an interior room on deck 3. It was clean and comfortable. It was one of the cheaper rooms but we were very happy with the size and layout. The shower could have been a little bigger

Ship tip

Don’t expect the ship to have the freedom coke machine for drink package

Ports of call

Barcelona, Spain

5 out of 5
Easy to get around with hop on hop off bus

Villefranche-Sur-Mer, France

5 out of 5
Cute little town. The people were friendly. It was a beautiful little village to explore on your own

Livorno (Florence & Pisa), Italy

4 out of 5
Pisa was nice but Florence was crowded

Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy

4 out of 5
It seemed like our tour guide rushed us though the Sistine chapel and Vatican. We did not have time to stand and appreciate the art. It was also VERY crowded

Venice, Italy

5 out of 5
I enjoyed the gondola ride and the free time to explore

Split, Croatia

3 out of 5
It was difficult to shop because they do not use euros and we did not want to do the exchange

Kotor, Montenegro

5 out of 5
Loved this port it was beautiful and we enjoyed exploring the old town on our own. I wish we had walked the wall to the fort on the mountain

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
it was easy without any problems

Did this itinerary last year and we're going again this August! We loved Vision and as we don't travel with children anymore the ship was ideal for us. Glad you enjoyed it!
