Review summary

This was the rockiest ship, one woman even fell over as the ship rocked and had to be rushed medical because her nose was bloody. I overheard people saying that the stabilizers were broken and were supposed to be fixed before we set sail. The rocking motion of the ship By far put a ruin on the experience. The last 2 nights afyer leaving Cozumel were the worst.

Embarkation

3 out of 5
We weren’t allowed to go to our staterooms until 1pm

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The beverage package was expensive and the food was okay in both the dining room and buffet. I loved the ice cream Machines but the took them away after the buffet closed at 9pm.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
I enjoyed the pools and casino, the shops could have had more variety of items

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The DJ was good but the live band that performed every day played the same set of songs and the singer was reading lyrics off her ipad the entire time. The activities and entertainment was not targeted towards young adults. It was more so for an older, slower crowd

Children's Programs

3 out of 5

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
The staff and service was excellent, no complaints there

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
The ship was clean but had a very old grandmas house vibe to it. The carpet was hideous

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
I paid for a window stateroom that had 2 6 inch windows where as the stateroom right next to mine had large windows that you could actually see out of

Ports of call

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

3 out of 5
Over priced, too small of a area, not enough variation in good excursions

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
Loved the downtown port location. Great excursions

You will have a place to sit down, just not in the stateroom. You'll board and have lunch, obviously you will sit to eat. They have to have time to clean. In Carnival we didnt get to our stateroom for hours. Omg, if the stabilizers arent fixed im going to want yo die! We board monday...

Our first cruise on RC Vision is in April 2018. This not allowing you into stateroom until 1pm has me rethinking this. I've got 3 crushed discs in lower lumbar and being on my feet without a place to sit down is really rough even when on pain meds. I'll be toting a cooler with wheels which has my diabetes meds on a ice. Hope this isn't going to be an issue. This 1pm access thing has me really concerned. Thanks Westmoreland for all the valuable Intel.

Im sorry to scare you, overall I will try it again..... in a few years. Let me clarify, The woman didn’t fall over board, she fell down on the boat and busted her nose. I hope this makes you feel better.

I would have thought so. But this is my first cruise so I have no frame of reference as to how tall the railings are. Hoping for a less rocky trip 🙏

The only way you can fall overboard is if you climb up and over the railing, or if someone picks you up and throws you over the railing.

Oh no! I really hate readinh this seeing as I embark this coming Monday and seasickness and falling overvoard are my worst fears and both happened during your experience. Fingers crossed the stabilizers are fixed and better for us. Sorry you had to go through that.
