That was their phrase, all staff members are supposed to give a memorable service according to the staff we spoke to. The comments about catering for the British staggered me as there were British,Italian -Spanish -South African and Americans and I for one couldn't detect any difference in service to any nationality. We did back to back cruises so it's not like the first week was poor and the 2nd was good. Don't get me wrong I am talking about a small minority who gave the impression passenger's were a burden but unfortunately they were front of house bar staff with the exception of Zoe in the Viking lounge (who by the way had been called before the management to explain why she wouldn't use the soda pump for Tonic!) Her explination was "it's not nice so my customers don't get it) and staff in Giovanni's were tremendous also,so you see the dilemma. Its not unreasonable to excellent service as standard not as a hit and miss.

What does memory makers mean? What would they do different for the British. What nationalalities were on board mainly?

Bar staff didn't know what Schweppes tonic was (at any bar) despite having it in cans in the back of the bar, singers on deck nine were tone deaf, shows were at best average in comparison to Thomson Dream. Some staff were great but overall I think they are to stretched to give the "memory makers" they are supposed to be.Overheard one bar staff member say to an American guest "we have to cater for the British I'm afraid " really? Letter of complaint winging it's way to Royal Caribbean.I could go on sadly, our 4th cruise but not one of the best overall but don't be put off,we may have just been unlucky

What type of entertainment did they have. We've only sailed with p&o before?
