We enjoyed the cruise but with the cancellation of one of the ports, we had too many sea days. Also, would have liked to have more time in Cabo. Panama Canal transit was great--there was a speaker on the ship that did alot of narration during the transit.
Embarkation

Very easy. Room was ready earlier than expected.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Liked the main dining room the best--had wonderful service and good variety of food. Didn't care for Manfredi's--food was either over cooked or undercooked. Had breakfast and lunch most days at buffet were we could always find something to eat! There were a number of specialty presentation in the buffet restaurant which were always good too.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
Used the fitness center a lot as we had quite a few sea days--it was very nice but in the afternoons it was too hot in there. Pools were nice but we didn't use. Liked the afternoon teas.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
Musicians around ship during the day were very good. Only attended one evening show and it was very good. Attended all of the port talks which were good. Also attended many of the presentations on the Panama Canal history.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Staff and service were outstanding.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Easy to get around ship and it was very well maintained and clean.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
There was plenty of closet spaces and two sets of drawers for our clothing. It was big enough as we weren't in there all the time. Love the size of the shower and bathroom in general. I'm glad we had a cabin on a lower floor as we had some rough seas and it was more stable there.
Ship tip
Do it! Nice size ship, great staff, easy to get around.
It was ok. We did a Viking excursion and it wasn't very good--did A Walk in the Clouds. We were expecting to see alot of birds, butterflies and small mammals and the only birds we saw were at the feeders that they had set up at the start of the trail. This is not a tour for anyone with any kind of mobility issues as there is a long uphill climb to return to the starting point.
Colon is not a very nice port but we booked our own tour through Viator (Viking tour we wanted was full) and went to Agua Clara (the new locks) and then to Panama City sites. We had a wonderful guide and it was a small group tour.
It was ok. We did the included city tour and our guide was not very good. Just walked us around a bit in the old city after a stop at the fort and shopping area. When we returned to the ship there was a very nice enclosed area full of birds--parrots, flamingos and some monkeys--and this was actually the highlight of the tour.
