Viking management was not forthcoming with information from the moment we landed in the airport. Very confusing experience throughout the cruise. They kept the truth from us, very few announcements about what was (NOT) happening and then some were meaningless leading to another trip down to guests services for explanations. So insulting and ridiculous the way Viking treated us. They obliviously don’t know their market. Don’t expect any help to get you home if you booked your own travel arrangements when they strand you in another port/country that was not your ending one It will add cost to a very expensive cruise. Heartbroken.

Don’t sail their South American itinerary! If you were expecting ports that gave you the wildlife that you came there for. It’s not going to happen.
Typical Viking mishandling of a difficult situation. Viking management was not helpful and we were treated disrespectfully. They’re shallow smiles and remarks of come sail with us again further irritated us. They lost a lot of loyal customers on this trip. I am still numb from the awful heartbreaking and very expensive experience. Was not expecting that Viking could be uncaring towards its guests like the other cruise lines. We lost our confidence in cruising because of this Viking experience. The crew was the best part of Viking.
