The balcony upgrade was not really necessary. With ample space throughout the ship for lounging, and with the frequency of finding ourselves against the balcony of another Viking ship, we half-enjoyed this feature.

The lounge, terrace and sun deck (weather permitting) are nice places to sit and enjoy the scenery as you sail. This is also a good place and opportunity meet new people and to make new friends. Or, if you like you can spend some quiet time there or in the library area.

To go on a river cruise. Will meet or exceed your expectations. Great ship, service, staff, food and excursions. The excursion guides were very knowledgeable. The staff always professional and courteous.
