Ship: Veendam

Cabin type: Balcony

Traveled as: Couple

Review summary

The Lido pool could have been covered more often since they had an open pool on top of the ship. On board shops too small and not enough of them. Too much jewelry and not enough necessities. Way too expensive.

Our stateroom stewart was excellent. The buffet staff was lazy. Had to get our own drinks, carry our own trays. Front office had poor knowledge of the ports and itineraries.

Landed on a Sunday and the town was closed, had only a few portable shops set up.

Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)

We were not told anything about this island and what was on it. The shops were very poorly supplied and the staff was not friendly.

Oranjestad, Aruba

Pros: Stateroom and the Verandah

Cons: Front office staff lack of knowledge of ports and itinerary
