Review summary

All the tours that we took were just OK the tour guides were very hard to hear, especially when you’re in a crowded area. Like other cruise lines, you have whispers where you can hear your guides.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Embarkation day was the easiest and fastest that we’ve ever done, and all the years we’ve been cruising. From the time we arrived for our time slot till we got on the ship was about 15 minutes. 20 minutes later we got our luggage. There are no announcements made by the captain. The only announcement was made at the beginning of the cruise. Other than that you don’t hear any announcements whatsoever. The staff was very friendly always willing to help answer any questions you had. You don’t get a paper in your room telling you the activities that are going on. Everything is done on the app.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The food in the galley was the same every day for breakfast and lunch. That was a little disappointing. The only thing that changed was at the burgers. They had a burger of the day. Otherwise everything was the same. The best dinner was at the test kitchen there you couldn’t be a picky eater, but the food was excellent. It was nice that you were able to dine anywhere that you wanted for dinner at no extra cost. The vegetarian restaurant was also very good. Did not care for the Mexican.

Ship tip

What’s nice as you can have soda, sodas, always available in the galley. When we booked the cruise, it was drinks were included up to $600. I barely used any of it as they did not have the kind of drinks that I like which our ice cream drinks they did have non-alcoholic smoothies, which were good. I’d like the iced coffee. Also, what’s nice? Is the status match the highest status that you have with any cruise line. So we got laundry The coffee drinks. Virgin voyages has a lot going for them as far as including drinks and status matching other than that I prefer the big cruise lines that have the big buffets.
