Overall the food, service, and entertainment was great. A shame that we missed Port Canaveral but we cruise for the ship not the ports so it could have been worse. We would love to sail on Symphony again in the future if the opportunity arises.
Embarkation

Quick, Easy, efficient.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
The food was pretty good throughout the ship. We ate all the free venues so I cant attest to the quality of the specialty dinning. We ate at the windjammer for every meal except for 2 MDR nights. I have definitely had better food on other ships but I would never say the food was anything to complain about.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
The pools were packed all day until around dinner time which works for us since we go to the pools/hot tubs and then get dinner afterwards. The trivia's which are a staple for Royal Activities didnt disappoint. We only had one trivia where a team completed the activity within 3 minutes which left the bartenders and other guests confused and suspicious of how quick they got it done, but alas its vacation so we didnt care.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The musicians were amazing as usual. There was a done of different genres but we particularly liked the jazz band from the Promenade. They created a very relaxed laid back environment for all the guests to enjoy.
Children's Programs
We didnt sail with any kids.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
With the exception of a small handful of bartenders that seemed annoyed that I was ordering a mocktail instead of a cocktail the crew was AMAZING. We particularly loved Dody, Raj, Makeda, and Vinay from the On Air bar. We spent a lot of our vacation with them as we felt very welcomed around them.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
We sailed on Oasis in september of 2023 and met a large group of people on that sailing who said Symphony was thier favorite ship and we can surely see why. The ship itself was very clean and well maintained. There was crew cleaning every single day and did a very good job of making sure the ship was spotless. The overall layout of the ship is a little different form what we were used to on Oasis in regards to different venues having different names or outright replaced with new-to-us venues but overall it was laid out very nice.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Overall the cabin felt bigger than we thought our Oasis cabin felt like. Especially compared to smaller ships the inside cabins on Symphony are pretty large. There was plenty of space for us to lounge around and watch TV while eating. The biggest thing for me though is the shower. With the glass door instead of curtains like the smaller ships I felt like I had more space since I didnt have to worry about water dripping down the curtain and onto the floor. The bed was a little hard but nothing I couldnt catch some Zzzz on. I think my only complaint would be a lack of outlets near the bed. We only had one outlet near the bed. Luckily the bedside phone has a USB port on the right side of it but I didnt realize this until the second to last day so it made having my phone next to me while lounging and watching TV hard if it needed to charge at the same time.
Ship tip
Book your reservations for shows and dinning ASAP.
Weather Systems causing really high swells cancelled this port on us which is okay because we planned on staying on the ship anyway so we got an extra sea day out of it.
We always love Coco Cay. We snorkeled on chill island and then relaxed with a Pina Colada on the beach chairs for an hour or two then got back on the boat cause it was HOT.
Crowded. We've done nassau a few times previous to this sailing and we both agreed that from this sailing forward we will probably stay on the ship because there is no point in shoving through 6 ships of people just to buy overpriced magnets and food.
Port Canaveral is not as big as the Port of Miami. Orlando airport is smaller than Miami airport, so better to do your research on both before going on to visit either Port.
We were on the same exact cruise Heard some disappointing things so luckily didn't happen around our cabin kids wearing hoodies no parents doing ding dong ditch heard there was three girls dress provocatively young girls laying in the elevator probably trying to do TikToks that part is a little disheartening staff was wonderful shows were excellent comedy ice the diving hairspray we had a balcony My first one ever room seemed a little small Don't know if they're just trying to shove in a whole lot of cabins and make the room smaller so they can shove more in
went to the main dining room every night our wait staff princess and Carl were wonderful
.
We sailed on the Symphony back in July and I can agree with you 100%, the food was great! I wish the variety at the Windjammer was more extensive like the old days, but it’s still great! The ship did not disappoint with it’s activities and decor, the crew, and stateroom! I'd like to sail her again, there's so much to do you can't do on one cruise!!!
