I requested an upgrade and was denied. They referenced booking through a second party( travel agent). I had a corner room which had a little more space.

Ship tip

Become familiar with the aft and forward. It helps when locating shows and dining rooms and book shows etc. as soon as your trip is confirmed.

We traveled to the beach and to a Catholic Church. The taxi's at the port was readily available but also very costly and a tight fit. They cramp as many people as possible but the fare is still the same. Additionally, there was a fee to enter the beach and not very much to do at the port so we felt compelled to take a ride.

Good tip, grab a drink if you have to have one, then wander the ship front to back and top to bottom. Surprising what you can find at times. I start at the top and work down so I can let gravity help me down the stairs.
