Review summary

Overall, I would recommend this cruise and would likely take another one, but to different destinations.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Everything went pretty smoothly with boarding the ship. I recommend packing a few necessities in your carry-on though. If you board early, you will have to wait for your luggage to be delivered to your room and you don’t want that to hold up your day!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
For the most part, all of the food was really good and you were given a ton of options. We had dinner in the main dining room deck 4, every night. Our table was always ready and the staff knew us all by name. (There were 26 of us!) Das, Darlyn, Dacian, Mark and Larry too care of us and they were all wonderful.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We spent a lot of time by the pool and the live music was a treat. We loved the band!

Entertainment

5 out of 5
HiRO is a must see! We went twice and enjoyed it just as much, both times. Others in the group saw a few other shows and liked those as well. Overall, great entertainment.

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
My daughter loved going to Adventure Ocean. I wish I took her more than just the couple of times that she went, but I wanted us to spend lots of time together. They had other activities that we did as a family such as a science one and arts and crafts. Everyone was very nice and made me feel comfortable with her being there.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Wayne - he was our room steward and did a great job each day. Very sweet and attentive. Das, Dacian, Darlyn, Mark, and Larry - our staff in the main dining 4 all deserve a round of applause. They made us feel so special each and every night.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Everything was clean and maintained but the pool deck is way too slippery. That wasn’t very well thought out. Just from what I personally saw, two people slipped and fell out by the pools and my daughter almost lost her balance a couple of times as well, so be careful!

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Loved our room. We were on the dock side so we could see our ports from the balcony and enjoy the music they may have been playing and scope out the crowds before going down. There was plenty of space in the room and lots of storage to accommodate my daughter and me.

Ship tip

Bring motion sickness medicine just in case. This was my first cruise and in the second day, I was nauseous from the waves. Once I got going and kept myself busy, I was okay but it put a damper on that second day.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

4 out of 5
There was a lot of traffic leaving the port so pad your airport time.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

4 out of 5
We just went to the beach and really enjoyed our experience. Be prepared to pay for beach chairs and umbrella rentals, though.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

4 out of 5
We only got off the boat to do some shopping and there wasn’t much else to do unless you did an excursion or took a taxi elsewhere. My family enjoyed the bus tours though, so I would recommend doing that.

Perfect Day At Coco Cay, Bahamas

5 out of 5
Loved it here! It was overcast so at first, we were all cold in the water but we eventually warmed up and the sun came out. The music was great, the food, the different activities and games, etc. lots of things to do and enjoy!

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
Everything was fine, accept finding your Uber. That was a little stressful because of all of the cars out there and the honking but as far as the organization of the ship, that was fine.
