Review summary

Excellent cruise! I was really impressed with the how "normal" they made it feel during COVID times. Sure there were a few differences, wearing masks in certain areas, different activities, etc. but I still had a wonderful time and did not hesitate to book three more cruises. Symphony is beautiful with amenities and dining aplenty.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Embarkation was pretty quick. It was just a little annoying needing to show our passports and vaccination cards multiple times even though they were scanned into the system by the first person we checked in with. There was also some confusion with how the terminal staff directed people to line up but overall a pretty easy experience.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Amazing ship! We had an Owner's Suite and loved it. All dining was incredible and service was next level.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Due to COVID we couldn't do everything we normally would have but the activities staff did a great job of making the cruise feel as "normal" as possible.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The headliners, ice shows , Aquatheater show, Hairspray and comedians were all first rate and a real joy to experience.

Children's Programs

We had no children sailing with us

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Service was simply incredible!

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Overall very good, but there are a few areas that are beginning to show wear and tear so it's close to time for a refresh of simple things like carpets, nothing major.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Absolutely loved it!

Ship tip

On embarkation day hit Park Cafe in Central Park for lunch. They have great soups, salads and sandwiches and you don't have to deal with the crowd in the Windjammer buffet

Disembarkation

Very quick and easy. We really liked the new system where you stay in your stateroom until your group is called instead of gathering in the lounges. I hope they keep this even after COVID.

I haven't sailed any of the Oasis class ships yet, but reviews like yours have definitely put them on my radar. In fact, I'm looking right now...😊
