Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Main dining room food was very good I just wish the service matched. In all of my cruising I have never had the poor level of service in the main dining room I did on this ship. There was one night we waited 35 minutes for our drinks to arrive well after we had eaten our appetizers. On lobster night one of the others in my party asked how large the tails were trying to decide how many to order and our server told him he was busy and to move it along. We also ate 1 night in Jamie’s Italian and that experience was above and beyond 5 stars for service and food. Mayet our server was incredible.m

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Loved the zip line, flow rider, abyss, water slides and mini golf. The Solarium area was a great peaceful retreat to relax from the hustle and bustle of the ship.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Shows were top notch Hairspray was amazingly done. Flight was a great unique show. 1977 the drones opening the show was worthy of a watch by itself. Hiro was canceled due to weather issues most of the week but they were able to sneak it in on night 7 and I’m glad it was an incredible show and a great way to end the cruise.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
I wish I could individually give our room steward Samuel and our waitress Mayet at Jamie’s 5 stars. Unfortunately see above comments regarding our main dining room issues. Also we did find a few decent bar tenders but most of them severely lack any personality which is unfortunate. This is a training I feel Royal should be providing.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
New ship and you could tell it is being well maintained

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Well maintained with lots of storage. Boardwalk balcony room was very load contrary to what we have heard. Lots of screaming and we are not the go to bed early types.

Ship tip

Like everyone says book your shows prior to boarding it will save you a lot of time.

Ports of call

Perfect Day At Coco Cay, Bahamas

5 out of 5
Wish the weather was a bit warmer but it was still a Perfect Day at Coco Cay. Food was delicious make sure to get the crispy chicken sandwich, mozzarella stix and funnel cake.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

4 out of 5
Not a ton to do with the exception of The Yoda Guy it was incredible to visit and meet someone who worked on the early Star Wars movies and his museum was awesome. It is a must see for any fan

San Juan, Puerto Rico

5 out of 5
Great character and the forts were really cool to see.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Very quick and easy love the facial recognition. It was a bit crazy outside but that’s to be expected with that many people leaving the ship.
