We have all cruised with other cruise lines and had great experiences. Other than the huge boat there were few redeeming qualities and I don’t believe anyone desires to try another Royal Caribbean cruise
Embarkation
3 out of 5
We had a driver bring our group of 16 to the airport. We were quickly relieved of our bags. None were delivered to our stateroom we collected them ourselves on the way down the hall outside of other rooms
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Food was very good, we didn’t go to any of the specialty restaurants.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
Pools were busy, the one time we got great chairs poolside someone had an accident in the pool and we had to vacate.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
The performances were great. Holding a seat for even a moment caused arguments with other guests making it uncomfortable
Children's Programs
3 out of 5
The bigger kids were bored, the baby was being a baby and we were told to talk to him about his behavior even though he was too young to understand, instead we kept him
Service and Staff
3 out of 5
Our waitress and helper were excellent. Our stateroom was kept clean. Besides these three we had no real contact with other staff and the times we did we felt like they weren’t pleased to take care of guests
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Great ship, food and drinks kept picked up. We were cut in front of more than half the time we waited for an elevator with the stroller
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Spacious and clean, great view
Ship tip
I would not advise this ship due to the rudeness of the guests and not overly friendly staff
It was terrible, we were separated from our party, shuffled away from security l. Caught in large pushing crowds for the rental car shuttle resulting in us taking an Uber, unable to say bye to other family members
I love Symphony booked it a second time. Now that said, the elevator experience for those in wheelchairs, strollers and such is awful. Passengers do bum rush the elevator even after seeing those waiting in wheelchair or with stroller.
This appears to be a review written by an adult having a temper tantrum. I have a point of view for every negative item written... but since you’re back home...I’d suggest camping where you’re in total control of your environment 😎
I really enjoy cruising and love the oasis class. I have experienced most all of your comments but i never let a few people keep me from having a great cruise.
I have no problem calling someone out for saving seats when hundreds of other people were there before the rest of your party. Let me guess, rules are only for other people?
Given the amount of people on ship vs limited seating for shows, seating is always a issue and a sore point. Not surprised that deboarding was a mess for him. With over 6000 passangers converging on baggage claim, customs and taxi pickup etc there will be problems you will no likely see on a ship with half as many people or less. Bigger is not always better. Airlines learn that with jumbo jets after many years. I wonder how long it will take Royal C to figure that out too.
This sounds like totally self inflicted misery. 1) You cant expect a group of 16 to be able to stay together on a cruise, at Disney, or even at the beach! 2) If you were bored on an Oasis class ship? Cruising is NOT for you!! There is more to do for any age than ANY other ship class!! 3) Saving seats is freaking RUDE!! Get your butts there as a group and sit your butts down together! Its not different than people to try that crap at the amusement parks! 4) What happens to you after you get off the ship,is NOT the ships fault... It is pretty clear that YOU were the rude ones on the ship!!
Holding seats is just plane rude. Get there and get a seat or don’t bother. I’ve seen too many folk save seats for companions who then don’t turn up!! If you’re a group get there as a group.
