Review summary

We really enjoyed the ship, specialty dining, shows and Cococay. The only thing I would do differently is the arcade credit. That never seemed to work and I spent some time in line with Guest Services. We loved the people who were on this cruise. They were all kind and courteous.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Very easy to get from port to ship.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We loved the specialty restaurants! Our favorite was 150 Central Park but really enjoyed Chops, Wonderland, Izumi, Hooked, and Jamie’s Italian.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
My son enjoyed the Rock Wall and my daughter loved the solarium hot tub. I enjoyed running on the track and playing ping pong.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We really enjoyed the shows. My favorite was Flight, my daughter’s favorite was Hairspray, my son loved Hiro, and my husband loved 1977. We had fun finding the Stowaway Piano Man.

Children's Programs

4 out of 5
My teen children didn’t think they were that interesting but some might enjoy it.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Most everyone we came in contact with was extremely helpful and nice.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
We were so impressed by the cleanliness and overall appearance of the ship. We thought it was beautiful and had interesting pieces of art everywhere.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The cabin was very clean with comfortable linens. I preferred our cabin layout in the Disney Dream but enjoyed this balcony more. I loved that they added a foot rest on the balcony chairs.

Ship tip

We loved the Key program, drink package, ultimate dining, and beach bed on Cococay. I noticed that things vary a bit either from ship or sailing or Royal policies change. For example, I had read earlier to go early and pick out your beach bed. It was assigned. I reserved Laser Tag online but got to the shop and found out there were no reservations. I got an email that Playmakers was included in UDP but it didn’t seem to be known on the ship. We were charged for our food at Johnny Rockets (burger wasn’t good but milkshake was delicious). Go to Hooked to make dining reservations and try their lunch. I loved the crab cake and lobster roll. We loved this trip.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

4 out of 5
We walked around and enjoyed Biscayne Bay.

Nassau, Bahamas

4 out of 5
I been there several times and loved being there in February 2018 but this time I did not feel as comfortable walking around. We bought soap at My Ocean and enjoyed the ship for most of the day.

Perfect Day At Coco Cay, Bahamas

5 out of 5
Loved this day so much! Boys did the water slides early because we knew the lines would get long. We rented the beach bed and it was the best part of our trip. We did get stung by jellyfish but It wasn’t a big deal. You can’t see them in the sea grass so be careful when you swim through that. The delivered lunch was wonderful (turn in order by noon the day before). It was so peaceful and beautiful in South Beach.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
We couldn’t believe how fast and easy it was compared to other cruises we had done.
