Review summary

I was not in a wheelchair when we booked. We tried to bid and get a junior suite. That didn’t happen. We survived but things were tight in the room as stated in my review. There is virtually little space to walk between the bed and wall to get to the other side of the bed or to the balcony.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
After being told to come later due to Coast Guard, there were no real lines to board. Many boarded at 11 our original time.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We had first seating main dining room. We were never disappointed with food or service. Our waiter, Giea, and her assistant, Puji, were an awesome team. We had the evening Diamond drinks and the refresher package. Puji, had everyone’s drinks correct each evening. That is an accomplishment st a table of ten who kept moving around! Giea knew who had shellfish allergy (me) and who was gluten free. She heard us talking about trying to find “Ranger” cookies, now coconut cookies. She knew the baker and we had extra every evening. So many we had a bag full we brought home in a ziplock and ate for a week! We never had a bad meal. Some we liked better than others but not bad. Some went to the specialty dining and 4 of us did not. I did order the Chops steak on my birthday, lobster night. Though very good, we have a place at home I like the steak better. We ate at Johnny Rockets and it is always a hit. Cafe Promenade is a great go to but I prefer Sorrento’s pizza and grilled veggies! We enjoyed Park Cafe as it was near our room. El Loco Fresh was okay but challenging for someone with a wheelchair. We also enjoyed the shakes at Vitality Cafe! The refresher package was so good for so many extras. We did eat breakfast in the main dining room ordering from the menu. Buffet dining was not our choice this trip.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
We did not do any and never did see anyone on the zip line.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We enjoyed the shows and especially in the aqua theater. It was somewhat confusing trying to find the right place and having to use the elevators.

Children's Programs

No children

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
We were always greeted and treated first rate. Never any attitude seen.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
I marked excellent but is could be confusing at times.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
This is a very narrow cabin. Plenty of storage and the bath is well designed. Being that I had to be in a wheelchair AND we got a scooter we were limited on space. The closets were postage stamp size but plenty of room. Luggage stored under the bed. Ronald was our cabin steward. He was very busy working. Our room was always done nicely with a few towel animals, my favorite was the Birthday cake one!

Ship tip

The app is handy and it helps if you are not directionally challenged.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

5 out of 5
We spent the night before and always enjoy Bayside Marketplace.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

5 out of 5
We actually only went into the port are, again due to my walking status. Good value goods for the money.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

5 out of 5
Love San Juan. We helped their economy with shopping. We returned early due to rain.

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

5 out of 5
Love this area and we always shop with the Haitian Marketplace.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
Good but would have been excellent if we could have had assistance off the ship. We got some once off. The amount of vehicles there to pick up people. This part needs some work. Other side no issue.
