Review summary

Great ship for entertainment and activities! Specialty restaurants' food much better than main dining room food, though it's Ok, if you can't afford the specialties. Ports OK, but not fabulous. Enjoy everything on the ship; be aware of extra charges; they can add up quickly.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
When you get on board, don't go to Windjammer for lunch - too crowded! Go to Park Cafe on 8th floor. Much better!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Jaime's and Chops were delicious. 150 Central Park changed chefs and menu. While new menu was good, we liked the previous menu better. Main dining room was good. In Windjammer and room service, orange juice watered down, sauces watered down. No place to sit.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Since my husband is handicapped, we didn't do many activities. We loved watching people attempt the flowrider. Sat by the pool; no problem finding empty chairs. Kids play pool was fabulous. We played mini-golf and enjoyed ourselves. Spent time in hot tub in solarium. Great adult relaxation location

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Best entertainment at sea: stage shows, water show, ice show were fantastic!!! Musician concerts in Central Park were perfect evening relaxation

Children's Programs

No kids with us

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
We had a few bad experiences early on the cruise with breakfast in the dining room.and breakfast room service. Dining room head waiter asked us about our experience with food on the second night and we told her. She was very gracious and did everything she could to make up for those problems. Her name was Shalla.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Great spaces. Never seemed crowded.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Plenty of storage in balcony cabin. Liked having a small sofa. TV didnt have many choices without paying extra

Ship tip

Make reservations for the shows and restaurants you want from home, as soon as they are available to book. Many people waited in long lines because they didn't do this.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida Did not visit port

Been there before

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

5 out of 5
No excursion. Been there several times before. Not fully built up since hurricane. Best find was a Dutch cheese shop about 3 blocks from the ship. Best Gouda cheese from Amsterdam. Can carry for travel as long as package isn't opened.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

5 out of 5
We love San Juan, but went on a boring excursion -Old and New San Juan. We just saw a bunch of buildings.

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

3 out of 5
We walked around a bit but needed to take bus to get all the way around. Beach and water sports are main draws. We did neither.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
The disembarkation was easy. Getting out of the ships terminal was a nightmare. Traffic was appalling. Took our shuttle forever to reach us. Don't book flight too early-you might miss it.
