Review summary

This was our first cruise and we loved it. Our room was great, the wait staff and porters are exceptional. We never wanted for anything. The only concern is that on Thursday night I fell into a planter in Central Park when I was not watching where I was going but instead, I was looking up at the beautiful scenery. The planter is low and if it were raised a little higher I may have hit my thigh instead of my shin and might not have fallen. Another concern is when I discovered my arm was bleeding my husband took me to medical and we were told by a staff member that they were closed as it was about 7:40 pm. We were referred to guest services who told us we needed to see the nurse. Guest services was great and called and asked the nurse to help us. The nurse gave us band aids, bacitracin, and two plastic zip lock bags that we were told we could fill up with ice at one of the cafes or bars. No injury report or even our names were taken. The next morning we came down early to make a report and we were told by the desk nurse that we could fill out a report if we wanted to but it was not necessary. I filled out a report, I was bandaged by a nurse and seen by the Safety Officer. After arriving home, my doctor wanted x-rays due to the extensive bruising, the four open woulds and the fact that I broke my eyeglass lens from the fall. I have a good sprain and was put on antibiotics due to the fact that the wounds were very red. I will make a full recovery but just very concerned that the ships medical staff really did not want to get involved and there appears to be no company protocol to document injuries.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our wait staff for table 767 were exceptional! The service was impeccable. We never wanted for anything. Our Waiter Mary, our Assistant Waiter Melanie and the Head Waiter Tatyana were fantastic. If I could go higher than a 5 I would. The same is true for our cabin crew. We stayed in room 10297 and I believe his name was Gerardio and he was fantastic. Our room was always clean. I have never seen such a hard worker. These folks made our trip wonderful. They are the best!!

The bed was a little on the firm side and took some time to adjust but other than that our room was great.

Ship tip

Pace yourself. There is so much to do, the food is great and so much to see.

Ports of call

Basseterre, St. Kitts

We loved our van tour and beach time excursion. Lester or "Smooth" as he is called on the island is a riot and very knowledgeable about Nevis. We had such fun and learned alot.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

We had a great time snorkeling and shopping. Spent way too much money on shiny trinkets but had a great day!

Nassau, Bahamas

The port was chaotic, crammed full of people from 5 cruise ships, and confusing when trying to figure out where to go. Not set up well and a bit frustrating. Loved our snorkel tour and on the Seahorse and saw a lot of fish, some turtles and a couple of stingrays. Good trip. We were rushed at the end to get back in time to make our 3:30 port call. Would have liked a bit more time.

The evening pick up of bags and the early morning departure was perfect.
