Review summary

This was one of my favorite vacations. If you like a challenge, make time for the escape room. If you love monkeys, the Monkey Santuary is a must when you are in Roatan.

Received a Royal upgrade toa junior suite. If you have never been in one of the suites, I highly recommend it.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The Park Cafe is my favorite. They offer bagels and fruit for breakfast and soup, salad, and sandwiches for lunch. Less crowded than the Windjammer.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
There is something for everyone. Trivia, water slides, rock climbing, laser tag, and an escape room. The escape room was challenging.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Hairspray was my favorite. The cast was incredible.

Service and Staff

Our room steward John was fantastic. Our room was always clean when we returned from excursion or just hanging out around the ship.

Ship Quality

If you have been on any of the Oasis class ships, 5en this one will not be a surprise to you. It has a similar setup with a few new activities to try.

Cabin / Stateroom

We were on the port side of the ship; however, this one docked on the starboard side at each of our ports. Disappointed that we did not get to watch the ship dock from our balcony.

Ship tip

Make sure you pack your sneakers.

Went on the Monkey Sanctaury tour with a stop at the Iguana Farm. The driver then took us on a brief tour of the island with a stop at Fantasy Island. If you love monkeys, this is a must.

Nassau, Bahamas

Did an excursion to Pearl Island. There are lounge chairs in many locations so you can get away from the crowd. You can opt to snorkel on a guided tour or bring your own equipment and snorkel on your own. The complimentary lunch was tasty. They served lightly breaded fish or bbq chicken.

Disembarkation

We did a walkoff taking our own luggage as we had a tight connection at the airport. Royal Caribbean does a nice job getting people off the ship and to customs. Even though Miami does not use the Mobile Passport, customs still moved quickly.
