There is so much to do on this ship! My advice, if you're interested in the shows, book before the cruise!

Review summary

This was our 3rd Royal Caribbean cruise and was best. If you like big ships, this is the cruise for you!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Embarkation was a breeze. Once the Sky, Suite, etc. guests were on board, we just strolled right in. We were on board by 11:00 am!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
So much food, so little time! We ate at Johnny Rockets and Jaimie's Italian restaurant. Both were amazing. Mostly we ate in the main dining room. The service was great, especially with so many people on board.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We bought the spa package, which was pretty reasonable $199 per couple for the week. My husband rode the ultimate abyss slide. We were so busy, we didn't get a chance to ride the water slides! We did find time to hit the casino!

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We booked our shows before the cruise. We saw Hairspray, the Aqua Show, and Ice Show. The shows were amazing, definitely Broadway products. We also enjoyed all the music around the ship.

Children's Programs

We do not have young children.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The waiters and room stewards were great!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
This ship is so big with so many people. The staff managed to keep it clean, which can't be easy. I loved the ship's design with the neighborhoods. Even though there were over 6,000 people on the ship, it never really felt crowded!

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We had the Central Park view balcony. The room was very spacious, with lots of storage space for the luggage. It was very peaceful over Central Park, with the occasional soft music playing.

Ship tip

My advice is to book your shows BEFORE you get on board. That way you won't have to stand in the standby lines to see anything.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

5 out of 5
We flew in a couple of days before the cruise. We just drove around and shopped.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

5 out of 5
We went to the airport beach to watch the planes land. Pretty cool!

San Juan, Puerto Rico

5 out of 5
We walked around Old San Juan and took in the sights!

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

5 out of 5
I enjoyed Labadee. The previous ratings about this port had me worried. But we had the best time. My husband even enjoyed haggling with the locals for souvenirs. He's really good at it, and we got some pretty good deals!

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
We were off the ship before 7:00 am!!
