Ship: Sun Princess

Cabin type: Oceanview

Traveled as: Couple

Review summary

The ship was nice, the largest we have been on, but certainly not the largest in the waters today. It was very clean and well kept. The staff were really nice and helpful, but we found a significantly higher language barrier than we have on other cruise lines. We sailed NCL before Princess and were told that Princess would be a major improvement over NCL, but we didn't think so. We feel that both companies provide comparable levels of service, food, etc. In fact, we think NCL has better entertainment/classes/meetings, etc than Princess, but Princess certainly has a more modern fleet. All in all, no complaints and I would be happy to cruise on the Sun Princess again.

Wonderful Island, wonderful people. Great spices available. We just walked around on Market day. It was interesting.

Stay on the boat. Beautiful island, but the tours are aweful, barely anyone speaks english...which is fine, but if you are providing tour services you should let us know first that we won't be able to understand you.

Pros: Get away and let your every fancy be taken care of for you

Cons: Some of the stops were not all that great
