Alaska is above and beyond gorgeous -a definite must-see journey!! Our overall experience with Star Princess was a great one, but be aware that some staff, decor and food can be less than stellar. That being said, we have already booked a return trip on Ruby Princess

The food was plentiful and delicious with a wide variety of selections; however, most of the desserts, while pleasing to the eye, were lackluster in flavor.

Did not make use of pools or hot tubs this trip but plan to on next trip.

Our room steward was outstanding! Waitstaff were wonderful too. Only caveat was some of waitstaff in bars were underwhelming - they know they’re not receiving direct tips and their service shows it.
Ship Quality

Everything was clean and well-kept. The overall design is nice but could use a refresh. Layout is some of public areas was confusing, i.e. could only walk through one side of the main deck (Promenade) always forcing you through photo gallery and creating a traffic jam.
Cabin / Stateroom

Room was spacious and laid out well. Lots of drawers and ample closet space
Took seaplane tour of Misty Fjords with all-you-can-eat crab feast! Our pilot, George, was top-notch and staff, especially Maddie, at George Inlet Lodge, was excellent. Food was great too!!
Took a seaplane tour of glaciers. Beautiful scenery!! Also did some shopping in town and everyone was friendly. Highly recommend Shoefly if you’re in market for unique Womens footwear. Staff went above and beyond to help!!
Beautiful town but unfortunately most of cruise ships arrive in evening and it can be difficult to fully appreciate the city’s beauty. We took a tour of Butchart Gardens, which were gorgeous even in the dark but I’d rather visit during daytime to fully appreciate it.
Smooth without issue except we were staged in area that had beverage and pastries while waiting to disembark and we had to constantly ask waiter for drinks & food. We’d place order then either have to remind him again after waiting a long time, or he’d bring one thing but forget a part of our request
