Embarkation
5 out of 5
We took the Seattle Express Shuttle from the Doubletree to the pier. Arrived close to the terminal and easily walked the bags in. Short wait for ID check and on to check-in. Quick and efficient. Arrived right at suggested time, room ready. Bags arrived minutes after us.

Food and Dining

And be sure to get ice cream on the Lido Deck. Crooners Lounge on deck 7 starboard side a great place to hang out and watch the world go by both inside and out, don’t be shy about sitting down if you aren’t drinking, staff will put a napkin down and leave you alone.
Trident Grill
5 out of 5
Good burgers and brats, excellent fries. Watch for specials the day before landing at next port, offer special foods from local establishments. Got great crab cakes that others paid big bucks for in port.
Crown Grill

Filet mignon and lobster. Again a window table. Great food and fantastic coffee! Deserts were terrific. Well worth the price. Service is above outstanding.
Horizon Court

Ate only once for embarkation lunch. Good ribs and carved turkey. Got coffee from here almost every day. Coffee similar to Tim Horton’s if you are familiar with them.

Portofino’s, deck 6, port side. Outstanding. Every meal had a window table, and shared. Well worth sharing your table to meet fellow cruisers, made more than a few friends. Food and service was fabulous. Try the recommend specials.

5 course dinner. Great pasta and veal. Service above outstanding. We celebrated on our anniversary and the staff sang happy anniversary to us while presenting a special desert.
Onboard Activities

Music groups and performers were great. Seek them out at the bars and the piazzas. Shows were ok. Ranger John and the Discovery @ Sea was some of the best. Any free give sways you need to be 5 minutes early for because it will be over in 5 more. This includes champagne toasts.

Ship tip

State Museum, Rainforest Garden, and Mendenhall Glacier. Museum was very interesting with history/culture/science. Garden showed how plants were used. Glacier saw black bears (walked under raised walkway), salmon running, and 2 great picture sites. Our guide, Anita was great.
Had worst excursion of trip. Don’t take the summit bus and the show if 98 excursion. Walk around town, visit the National Park Sites. Take the train, from what we heard, we wish we did.
