Review summary

We’ve sailed on princess and holland America and before this trip we thought they were pretty much the same on all levels. After sailing on the Star Princess, we’ve determined that holland America will be our go to cruise line. The food, entertainment, wait and cruise staff are a scale above Princess (even though they are owned by the same company).

Fruits and salads were fruit and bountiful, however, Other food selections were poor.

Another disappointment. The comedian wasn’t very good, they made up with the singer and magicians. First cruise where entertainment was mediocre.

Service and Staff

Our dining room waiter and room steward were excellent and very attentive. The bar staff however is another story. Most times they stood around talking to each other or they just weren’t around.

Very well maintained. Beautiful smaller ship. Outside needs some tending to.

Biggest balcony we’ve had. Bed was very comfortable. Room a little small yet manageable.
