Bring at least two bathing suits and some clothes pins to hang to dry. Also only two plugs for charging in the room so an extender is helpful

I really don't have a tip but I will say that the crew members spoiled us rotten! We loved all of them!

Be sure not to overpay for a Windstar cruise since pricing goes down significantly with 60 days of the cruise's start date if the ships aren't full. They seem to have more supply than demand right now so it may be a good time for bargain hunters to take a Windstar cruise.

Watch for sales! If the price goes down, call your agent (I used Kristi Putnam and loved her), and they will adjust the price or you can opt to use the price difference to upgrade your cabin type.

Drinks package of $800+ not worth it, pay as you go, even if you drink every day your check won't go that high.

I was a little concerned about the Zodiac and the wet landings, but the crew is so good at their job there was no need to worry. We did not need the "beach" shoes I bought, we wore our flip-flops - took them off to get in and out of the Zodiak.

We found that most people on board were well traveled and were more interested in the destinations and less interested in the activities on board. That was exactly what we were looking for. Make sure you consider this before selecting to take any small ship cruise.

Go to all the daily history talks and port talks. Go to the chef's presentation, and tour the kitchen. It all makes the experience much richer.
