Review summary

I got on the ship fast, had alot of fun, visited places which I would love to go back to, had excellent service, did alot on the ship, used alot of the dining option and would definitley do the same trip again.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
For me this was an absolute breeze, it was practically a walk on ship, I got to terminal, got my medallion, went through the security process, sat in the waiting room for not even 10 minutes and was allowed to board. Also if you are getting dropped off at the terminal then there is a drive in building which connects to the main terminal itself which saved me from walking through the carpark. (Take this with a grain of salt as there are 4 reasons why this may not be the case for you: 1. I was with 2 Elite loyalty passengers.(most likely) 2. It may just be the terminal.(the QE2 terminal to be precise) 3. This was during the school term time. 4. Plain 'ol luck. )

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Easiest 5 star review I've ever had to give, with how many free food options there were around the ship mixed with the somewhat low prices of the non free option it made me instantly hit the 5 star button. Now if I were to go into specifics about certain dining options the main 4 I used were: the slice pizzaria, the salty dog grill, the world fresh marketplace and the international cafe which all haad amazing tasting food and a 5 minute wait time at most (not their fault this was the first day so the lines for food were huge with the last leavers and everyone getting on) I went to one specialty dining option throughout the entire cruise (that being the crown grill) and probably had the singular best steak and mushroom dinner I've ever had in my life, I would recommend this to anybody for the price, trust me it's worth it 100%

Crown Grill & Bar

5 out of 5

The crown grill was the singular best dining expirience I've ever been to, It had amazing food, service and food timing.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Now I cant rate this too high as princess isn't really known for having all that many onboard activities in comparison with the main carnival fleet or royal carribean. However the things that I did enjoy were the several hottubs, the basketball court at the back of the ship, the mini golf on the vista deck which provided amazing views due to it being at the very top, the comedy show which made me laugh more than I ever had prior, the movies under the stars and the main pools which on sea days genuinley felt like there was a wave generator in them(this is not a bad thing)

Mermaid's Tale

5 out of 5

The pool was probably the centerpiece of both the ship and my vacation as a whole, throughout the day and night it was warm, had multiple dining options surrounding it and was quite large in comparison with other pools on different ships.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Literally the only reason why this gets 4 stars is because the sailaway party was cancelled due to typical british weather, other than that while we were in different ports or at sea there was atleast 1 activity happening on the main decks each day, thats not even mentioning stuff like the comedy shows in the theatre which all together puts this rating at 4 stars

Movies Under the Stars

5 out of 5

For films on a big screen on a ship the quality was stunning, not to mention how you could go for a swim, get bored after a while and hop out to enjoy the movie on a lounger.

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
From what I saw from the few times that I went to the kids club (yes I went to the teenagers kids club at 14 judge me all you want lol if I can go to it then I will) the staff we're great towards me and others, they provided tons of stuff to do for people of all ages amongst the different clubs (I think there were 3 of them for toddlers, children and teenagers) giving this a rating of 5 stars

The Beach House

5 out of 5

This was the lounge that I personally used on the ship, the staff were amazing, the arcade machine things? Were fun to use and there was alot of space.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Im gonna seperate this section of the review into 3 sections, those being: waiters, room steward and overall for the sake of simplicity: Waiters: as I personally didn't really go to many of the dining options with waiters I cant really comment too much about this however in the crown grill the waiters were polite, well dressed and always had a smile which gives them a 5 star in my book. Room steward: never in my life have I met someone who was more nice than the room steward, they were helpful, polite and well dressed, from what I've heard from other reviews the princess fleet has some of the nicest staff aboard and that really showed here. Overall: throughout the course of my cruise the staff were one of the main highlights of the ship and I hope to have the same expirience when I go back on my upcoming norwegian fjords cruise also on sky princess.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
From top to bottom this ship was well maintained, the sight of a crack in any of the paint was too rare to make me think any less of this ship, I didn't see a single bug around the ship, not even a common spider. The layout of the ship was very easy to navigate and was definitley cleverly thought out.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
In terms of comfort this cabin had nice and soft beds, a nice and soft sofa, a large bathroom, a good balcony size and had a comfortable amount of room. In terms of size due to me staying in a mini suite I got to stay in a cabin with the near maximum size, the main area with sofa and tv was very spacious along with the balcony that we had. (even if it wasn't connected to the balcony of the seperate cabin that we had brought for the other part of our group I'd still day the balcony was large) The cleanliness was better than my own room at my house which gives it a 5 stars for me.

Ship tip

Take advantage of the free pizza but dont eat 5 slices before going to formal night. (I barley managed to eat the steak at crown grill)

Ports of call

Southampton (London), England

5 out of 5
I didn't really use this port other than for getting on and off so im just going off of my expirience in the terminal which as previously stated in the embarkation process was great.

St. Peter Port, Guernsey, Channel Islands

5 out of 5
This is somewhere that I've wanted to go to for years now and the wait was worth it, the views were stunning, the famous ice cream there was great and the activities around the port area are 100% worth visiting/using.

Bilbao, Spain

5 out of 5
Probably my favourite of the ports, the bus ride there was short and the views of the city were great, the food is a must try, the guggenheim museum is facinating and I would love to go again.

La Coruna, Spain

5 out of 5
A Coruña is the most colourful of the ports and has the largest beach of them all which gave great views of the ship from said beach, the port was one of the few to actually have a terminal, the shops had alot of things which you would never even see in britain so its a 5 star review from me.

La Rochelle, France

5 out of 5
Out of all the ports france was the one that I least enjoyed there wasn't much to do and it was a complete tourist trap unlike the rest of the ports.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
As many do I personally hate disembarkation with a passion for obvious reasons however none of that is the ports fault nor sky princess's fault, overall the process was quick and easy, despite the sadness that loomed in the air. I think the only part where a problem lied was when I was trying to find my luggage in the terminal because of how many suitcases there were but thats about it for this last part of this section.
