Review summary

All in all disappointed in the cruise. Beautiful ship, but probably much larger than what we would like in the future. The small balcony was a real turnoff as was the small, small bathroom. Probably the biggest dissapointment was the quality of the food which was very poor- filet that was really pot roast, grissly prime rib, rubbery omlets, breakfast menu that does not change except for two daily specials (pancakes every day but no french toast or waffles; same fruit compote daily). We, not chose the ship based upon the sailing dates. We suspected going in that the itinerary would prove boring and it did for the most part. But aside frome its beaty, the ship and cruise left us uninspired and questioning whether all Princess ships have dropped a few notches in dining and ports of call and whether we will cruise with Princess again. (The fact that 3 out of 4 of us got extremely sick on the cruise probably plays a part in our review).

Shipo was very clean, but poorly designed. Extremely small cabins and bathrooms and balconies were miniscule. The open door conecting our two balconies prety much blocked the doorway from our cabin onto the balcony. Hard to get from one end of the ship to the other without walking through a casino, restaurant or bar and no promenade around exterior of ship.

Small cabin but okay. Bathroom was rediculously small, particulary with the door shut. When open, the balcony door to the adjacent balcony pretty much blocked to doorway from our cabin to the balcony. Balcony not large enough for two chairs to recline. Other shipswee have been on have MUCH larger balconies.

Ship tip

Enjoy the beauty of the ship, but be prepared for disappointing food and frustration trying to get to places wihtin the ship

Not much to see in belize City, but enjoyed our 2 hour ride to Xunantunich Mayan Ruins and the time at the ruins, although an extra 45 minutes there would have been nice. Felt a bit rushed especially when we returned to ship well before departure.

Excursions did not interest us. Did not get off ship. From what we could see, port area looked like bars and tourist stores, and was ot near anything to do.

Excursions did not interest us. We went into port area with three other large ships. Nothing but bars and tourist shops. Nothing worth seeing, but good to stretch our legs.

Disembarkation

Very positive experience. Checked our bags from the ship to our home airport and took bus transfer to airport (where we had to wait 6 hours for our flight).

We did a transatlantic on sky princess. I agree. The ship is lovely but the bathroom and balcony were very tight. I missed being able to walk around the ship. Got lost so many times. It was sad the adult only pool did not have a roof as because of rough seas it was a week before we could use it. The food was edible but breakfast was boring. Thank goodness for the almond crossiants at the international Cafe.
