Review summary

Fabulous cruise. Maybe our last on Sky due to the lack of seating in public areas, meant we missed out on happenings in the Piazza most days. Ship is, maybe, too big for us but we book by itinerary and not ship. Also, we do miss the wraparound promenade deck and have booked our next 3 cruises on smaller ships but staying with Princess!

So much choice and very friendly servers at The Buffet... something for everyone! First class!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our cabin steward was very good, made sure we had everything we needed. My husband is allergic to feather pillows and they were exchanged as soon as we mentioned it! Waiters and other ship personnel went above and beyond, as usual. Princess have the happiest crew and staff who always have time to say hello!

Ship Quality

This was our 3rd time on Sky Princess since June 2022. My only criticism is lack of seating in the public areas. Back problems mean having to sit from time to time so we spent a lot of time in our stateroom. But we always book a balcony so we can sit out too!

Cabin / Stateroom

This was our 2nd time in B227 and have also been next door in B231. We love the forward position of this stateroom... Great unobstructed views and a good walk right to the back of the ship and use the stairs to the Buffet. It's a long walk but then we don't feel guilty having dessert! 😉

Ship tip

Book it! She is a lovely ship but due to the lack of seating in public areas I would advise booking a balcony stateroom too!

Ports of call

Funchal, Madeira

First time here, we took a long strenuous walk uphill and through the narrow picturesque streets before taking the hop-on-hop-off tour around the rest of the island.

Vigo, Spain

Lovely port! We were lucky to visit Vigo in April, also on Sky and did a lot of exploring then so this time we took a walk up to the fortress overlooking the city and port. Then we took a leisurely walk back down through the Old Town and marina

Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, Canary Islands

First time here so wanted to explore ourselves without excursion. We took a long walk along the promenade towards the old town area. Buildings are beautiful 😍

Lisbon, Portugal

Love Lisbon! Again, visited and explored here in April whilst on Sky. This time we took a Princess excursion to Sintra and Cascais, two beautiful but very different towns. Sintra was inland and Cascais was on the coast.

Santa Cruz De Tenerife, Canary Islands

Another 'first' for us. Lovely port and easy walk to Tenerife Opera House and Fortress next door. A real mix of new and old buildings! Wandered into thd old town and into the African market which sold everything from souvenirs to fish and hams... loved it!

Arrecife, Lanzarote, Canary Islands

Probably my favourite Canary Island! Loved the promenade walk along to the Fortress with lots of cafes along the waterfront. Reminded me of Greece with the stark contrast of blue shutters and white houses!

Southampton (London), England

First time we have taken our own cases off the ship and will definitely do this every time now! Yes there were queues for lifts (the only time we used them, and we had to go up to come down again in order to secure a space 😂) but we were off the ship in no time and on our way to the airport for our connecting flight.
