Getting around Miami was not very good. Uber was a failure at the airport, so took taxi which is fixed rate. Taxi back to airport attempted to make up his own price.
Harvest Caye itself is owned by cruise line. Felt trapped. We did a Mayan village excursion to mainland and found it very educational. Cruise line has pier on the Caye but not sure whip ship anchored off shore and used tenders.
Right around port there are too many people trying to sell the same useless crap. They changed port from our last visit (almost 20 years ago) so you must go through a shopping mall to get in or out of pier. We went Scuba diving (wife’s first time) and it was excellent. She wishes she had started 30 years ago. Andrea at AquaSafari is an excellent instructor/dive partner.
