Review summary

Wonderful, relaxing cruise. A good way to escape winter.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
We were one of the last groups to embark, and our wait time was very reasonable - around 15 minutes

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food and beverage are always great with Oceania! We never order the beverage package but find plenty of opportunities for free cocktails and 2 for 1 drinks at happy hours. We also love the country club casual dress for the Grand Dining room.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
This was a short cruise, 7 days, so only the standard activities were offered. We also enjoy the team trivia and I Th we competitions for the “Big O” points that can be redeemed at the end of the cruise for Oceania t-shirts and other merchandise.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Tim Brumbeck, the pianist they brought on for this cruise, was incredible. The rest of the entertainment was ok.

Children's Programs

No program for children on board - and we didn’t have children with us.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Service in general was outstanding. A few personalities weren’t a great match for their job (ie social hostess wasn’t very personable).

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
This is a small ship, so it was very easy to get around. The area around the buffet was tight. The ship was very clean!!!

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
We opted for an Oceanview for this cruise. Although it was small, there was ample storage so we didn’t have stuff sitting out. That made the room feel very adequate. We also spent very little time in our cabin as the weather was beautiful, so we were outside most of the time. The bathroom was tight and the shower was VERY small - I opted to use the spa showers most of the time.

Ship tip

Share tables for meals. You get to meet all kinds of people!

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

5 out of 5
Embarkation and debarkation were super easy

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico Did not visit port

High winds resulted in not being able to port

Harvest Caye, Belize

5 out of 5
Beautiful pool and beach area. Over 2500 beach chairs! Lifeguards. Some shopping, but not shop owners were not pushy.

Coxen Hole, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

4 out of 5
Port was being worked on, so it was nice, but directions provided by tour company didn’t match the layout. We found our tour, but it took a little while. Port was clean. Sufficient shopping.

Cozumel, Mexico

4 out of 5
Nice port, lots of shopping and restaurants. Don’t plan on a free beach here - almost all of the sandy beaches are private and require a day pass.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Super easy! And fast enough. Plenty of taxis waiting for you, and a lot of airport transfers available.
