Oceania is a little more than the normal crude line but you aren’t paying for some of the basics that were charged on other lines. Water coffee smoothies soft drink juices etc were included and the mini bar in your room had soft drinks that were stocked. We found the cost difference minimal. We enjoyed the smaller boat. We actually met people and saw them again and could dock in smaller ports away from the masses. In one port we were walking in and off while the large cruise ship had big lines in the sun.
This is definitely an adult cruise. It has entertainment that others enjoyed. We just didn’t do any later night activities due to early excursions the next day. We loved the other passengers we met. It catered to those who really like to travel. Almost everyone was a repeat Oceania customer. We plan to be in the future

Food and Dining

The dining room was great. I had food allergies. They helped me customize selections do that I was safe. The food was creative, varied, and excellent. I enjoyed breakfast in the dining room where you could eat traditional breakfast food or heavier lamb chops and breakfast steaks. That was very handy for excursion days. The Tuscan Steak house was so good. I highly suggest the dessert sampler, lobster bisque, surf and turf and escargot.
The buffet was great too. You can eat on the balcony. Great especially for breakfast. Don’t miss High Tea

Great library. No need to bring a book.
Service and Staff

Great staff. I thought I might miss the assigned staff of reserved seating on other ships. By the end I felt like I had 10 assigned staff. They all knew me what I liked and my allergies.

Loved this room. It’s a hidden secret of a less obstructed room 6033 is the same. It has a smaller life boat and in between the two dining floors.
Bonafacio by Land and Sea was great. Warning. This involves a few stairs up and a steep descent down. We took a tram to the top of a city and also a boat tour. Loved the tour but the mobility issues need to be evaluated. Wish I was here longer
I did ancient Nora. I thought it was overpriced. It was interesting but I would only pay this much if it’s a comped tour. Overall my least favorite port.
We used a private guide Mimmo from yours by locals. We did not have enough time but a great port. We saw Segesta and Eric’s and sampled sicilian food. We had to tender st the last minute so lost an hour and a half here
Enjoyed Granada but did not get to see Alhambra. The tours were misleading in the names so it was too late to get tickets. I would get a private guide to see it here but loved the city. Go see the Royal Chapel.
I went on a tour Cartagena and La Manga. Great tour with Vera as a guide. Part walking part scenic rides. Lots of short stops.
My husband went scuba diving on La Manga with Scuba Murcia. Highly recommend this dive shop.
We went on our own to the aquarium and science museum. The science museum is not worth the costs unless adding to the aquarium. There are IMAX movies at the aquarium and I think some at the Hemiferuc. Research that befire you go as we were confused at the ticket counter. I would love to go back and see more of the city.
I did the provincial idyll
At the Island excursion. It was poorly named but great excursion. We saw Petra and the home and museum of Juniperro Serra who founded many California missions. After a fabulous meal that was included we went to a large estate to see the antiques and how people lived. It was a small excursion mostly due to its name but I highly recommend it. Some climbing of stairs and walking was involved but less that other tours.
