Review summary

We have travelled on Silversea since they started and there is a definite deterioration. Of course they blame covid, but many times we felt that it was cost cutting. They do not even provide the daily newspaper summary - we had to ask for it. Perhaps things will improve as restrictions are lifted.......

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Not as good as in the past. Several times we had to complain that the bread and pastries were stale.

Onboard Activities

Entertainment

1 out of 5
Very amateur, poor production - after a couple of poor shows we did not bother. The trio that played in the lounge was like elevator music. The only good performer was a guitarist.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Service was good all round. The room steward/butler was excellent. Reception staff were poor, and did not seem able to answer questions. There was little information on the destinations and no local reps or maps available.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Yes well maintained and cleaned.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Very nicely updated comfortable suite, though bathroom was very dark.

Ship tip

Do not rely on using the library - it was a joke, just a few shelves of old books.

Ports of call

St. John's, Antigua

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida Did not visit port

We did not get off in several ports because they were not allowing independent visitors only organised tours.
