Review summary

Four countries in 14 days with a 2 day stayover in Lisbon and Bordeaux. SWEET

Embarkation

5 out of 5
quick and easy boarding and my luggage arrived when my penthouse was ready.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The food was flowing and the wine was excellent.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
I had a facial and two massages after long walking tours. These were relaxing and enjoyable .

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Isabella and her violin was awesome.

Children's Programs

No children on the cruise

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Almost all my needs were met except the solo coordinator who met with any solo travelers was removed after a week on the cruise which left the two solo's on the cruise feeling abandoned. There was no manicurist on the ship so having nails or feet groomed was not possible. After two weeks I was unmanicured and upset about it since it was a Luxury cruise it seemed unheard of to have no person in the salon who could do a mani/pedi even though they advertised having one in the ships paper.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The ship was clean but is showing its age.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The penthouse suite was small compared to the SS Mariner. It was the size of a concierge suite on the Mariner. The bathroom was a good size with a bathtub and a separate shower . The water was good and hot. The walk-in closet was a good size.

Ship tip

Have your mani/pedi done just before you board. Don't count on there being many solo's on the cruise because the solo supplement can be high.

Barcelona, Spain

Stayed for 5 days after cruise on my own. FYI they offer twin beds a double is two twins. Restaurants open at 8PM for dinner. In Spain many shops close from 2-5 for siesta.

Disembarkation

Baggage was ready and a taxi available upon leaving the ship.
