Overall this was a well planned cruise and a wonderful experience. I would highly recommend the Mariner ship to all my friends.

Embarkation was very fast and smooth. Our bags were waiting outside our suite.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
I enjoyed eating in the Compass Rose restaurant the most. The service was excellent. I also enjoyed the buffet breakfast and lunch on the pool deck. The selection was wonderful and the food fresh.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
I enjoyed playing Trivia with other guests every afternoon.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The stage shows were a lot of fun and I enjoyed a backstage tour

Children's Programs

no children

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone I encountered was friendly and polite.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship's layout wasn't complicated. After the first day I felt at ease finding my way around.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The size of the room was a little small but it was always cleaned perfectly. The bed was extremely comfortable. I loved the duvet. Overall the cabin was very nice.

Ship tip

Don't miss Trivia on Deck 12 at 4:30 everyday.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

3 out of 5
The Port Authority traffic was terrible.

Cozumel, Mexico

4 out of 5
I swam with the dolphins. The water was very cold.

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

4 out of 5
I thought the port was fine but the trip to the Kohunlich Mayan Ruins took two and one half long hours . The tour guide Reggie was very knowledgeable. Four days later 12 people were killed on the same road I traveled on. The poverty along the main highway was upsetting and there was trash everywhere. Our lunch on the way back was a very nice buffet.

Santo Tomas De Castilla, Guatemala

2 out of 5
Going into the shops at the port was an experience. You felt almost assaulted by the sellers. I did not buy anything and I was glad to leave.

Coxen Hole, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

3 out of 5
The trip to the island of Roatan was sad. The streets were filled with trash and poor stray dogs. The island itself wasn't anything special.

Harvest Caye, Belize

5 out of 5
This was a very pleasant port. It was very clean and an easy walk from the ship because of the trolley. I bought all my gifts there. The sales people were very helpful but laid back. The pool and beach were very well maintained.

George Town, Grand Cayman

4 out of 5
The port was crowded with many other ships but we were directed efficiently to our excursion. The Atlantis Submarine was interesting. The shops and streets in George Town were crowded. We were tendered off and onto the ship VERY efficiently and smoothly.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
The disembarkation was very easy and smooth. Our suitcases were easy to retrieve on shore. Customs was not crowded and we breezed through. The port itself was once again very crowded and the traffic was terrible.
