Review summary

Overall, we had a lovely family experience. When it is just the two of us, we prefer Holland America for the classical music (guitar was the only classical on this voyage), for the food available at the poolside cafe, and adult activities. We made the compromise for the children with us.

We wanted to do a ship excursion to the Mayan Ruins; we were told my husband (84) was too old. Then we tried to do the trolley tour; told we were both too old (I'm 75). We took a taxi to the Mayan Ruins and had a wonderful time.

Felt we were pushed to quickly vacate the ship; therefore I had an asthma attack. Felt like one of the female staff in the dining room was rude in herding us off the ship. Left a bad departing image.
