Review summary

Overall it was a great Itinerary and the locations are fabulous, the Ship was a bit tired looking and some staff were not as friendly as they usually are. But the locations and stops are worth it. its a great cruise with spectacular views

Embarkation

4 out of 5
The embarkment was very easy.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The food was ok, I have had better on these cruises. There were some mornings when the cutlery wasn't available and the food was short of expectations. The main dining room was better

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
The shows were just average, there is no promenade so most of the entertainment was in the little reception area. The theatre shows were ok, but the whole experience is a bit tired now.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
he theatre shows were ok, but the whole experience is a bit tired now. the shows were just ok. the magic show was alright but the magician didn't like being heckled by the audience when the tricks could be seen

Children's Programs

2 out of 5
there was a kids area with amusements and a disco area. thinks there was a creche but we didn't need it

Service and Staff

2 out of 5
some of the staff were lovely but some of the bar staff were very rude and were not at all what we expected. One person, in particular, shouldn't have been on the ship as his attitude was terrible to all the passengers. it wasn't the usual happy people you expect

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
The ship is old and showing the wear and tear on it. it needs a refurbishment badly. The sofa bed in our room broke twice with our son sleeping in it. The fixtures and fittings look worn, and the public areas look tired.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
The cabin was a luxury cabin the space was ok if not a little cramped. there was a pull-down bed over the double bed and a sofa bed which broke twice

Ship tip

Get the Drinks package, and bring a power strip for the room.

Ports of call

Copenhagen, Denmark

lovely port with the Tivoilly Gardens in the center of the town. Drinks are a bit expensive but you can find some nice quaint places to eat and drink reasonably

Sounds like a fabulous cruise.

I like the kids' reactions to the "magic" tricks. The average adult can probably figure them out. We usually just enjoy the entertainment and discuss the trickery later.

To be fair, I've never met a magician who likes being heckled...
