Overall we love Royal Caribbean and the Radiance class ships. A little smaller and tends to draw the older crowd which means peace and quiet. Don’t get me wrong, the ship does have a ton of fun but the overall atmosphere is more my liking.

Ship Quality

The Serenade is a Radiance class ship which is smaller than the floating cities out there. They tend to be a little quieter and not as busy. Limited in some extra activities due to her size but overall always has something to do on those sea days.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Our cabin had a straight off the bow view which was awsome. My only complaint on this cabin is it’s location. It seems the crew gym and outside deck is located underneath. Every few minutes you would hear the heavy doors slamming as they went through. This took place 24/7.
Ship tip
Very nice ship, just stay away from the front ocean view rooms. Our neighbors also were annoyed by the slamming doors.
Situated so you kind of have no choice but to use bus or taxi to get away from the terminal. Too costly for a ten min ride when they try to charge by the person. Walk out the gate and bam! They’re all over you reaching, touching. Just very aggressive. Turned around and just spent a couple of hours at the port shopping and the somewhat zoo that is there. Tried the food and it was very good. Will not do this port again.
What can I say, Aruba is Aruba. Always friendly and so much to do on the Island. Have been to Aruba about twenty times and still find something new every trip.
First time here and will return again. Very interesting island and the locals are eager to please. Was walking down the street with my wife and bumped in to an old friend I had made on Aruba years ago. He’s a jeweler so you know what I did next and was very satisfied.
Radiance class is a nice ship and Celebrity uses several ship of that class too. They are fastest ships in fleet and are only "green" ones too as they are powered by clean burning jet turbines and not diesels.
