Manuel and Christian in the card room for anytime dining was amazing. Look for Tanra at the R Bar, she makes amazing. Our Stewart was not so great compared to other cruises.

Our Stewart was nice but not the best. We have had a lot better. The room was a nice size for an interior room and we asked for several extra pads on our bed.
Ship tip
It’s a slower pace boat, according to cruisers we met that sail Royal previously and compared to other cruises with NCL and Carnival. This was a relaxation vacation not a lot to do, if you didn’t have ports.
So what they don’t tell you is you have a long walk or long wait for the tram so your meeting time - you need to calculate that into your morning plans. We had never been to this port and no one via announcements or the paper thing said anything about it so we missed our excursion Tiami catamaran and they let us do the snorkel shipwreck and dolphin instead. This was the one we wanted to do because it was cheaper but it was “sold out” so we were fine switching and getting some money back. The snorkeling was amazing except that people would kick you, chase the turtles when they said not to but I still loved it. It did rain hard once but passed quickly.
The volcanic mud experience was a let down. Do not waste your time or money. They have Home Depot buckets of mud, chaos, no one tells you what to do, apparently people’s stuff gets stolen like crazy here. They sell kids tickets but there were kids screaming bloody murder because the water was so hot and they needed to wash the mud off. Even adults could not get in because it was too hot. I got in but it did hurt. I was not impressed but was going to do it since we paid for it. We let RCl know about our concerns and they gave us 10% back so like $15 but said the review for the events were accurate just not detailed. We got some beautiful photos that’s about it, I’d love to go back and do something different.
We did a canopy tour here just FYI smile on the first one even if it’s scary being your first time, my video was hilarious bc I had no clue and was trying to brake. It was fun though. Grabbed a snack, cute shirt and headed back to port to shop. It was another good day.
Atv excursion was awesome with Royal. The beach they take you to after is not so much, change and use the restroom before you leave the ATV ending place.
We did the eco trek to bamboo falls and Mona monkey. They don’t tell you that you have to trek through the river current holding a rope, so wear appropriate shoes. It just says comfortable so we wore tennis shoes and had to have them cleaned by Royal for other excursions. Royal did cover the bill for it due to not telling you that part. It also doesn’t say there is only one monkey and you are expected to tip the woman. But this was a beautiful port and a good day.
