Had a wonderful time. It was my first cruise, so nothing to compare it to. Great food, fun activities, interesting people. Can't wait to do it again.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
MDR was exceptional every night. We chose my time dining, so we were on Deck 5. Our waiters, Standley (head waiter) and Justin (assistant waiter) were outstanding. There were 6 in our party for dinner every night. Standley and Justin remembered us by name, knew our drink preferences and brought out our bottles of wine that we kept there. On the first evening, a member of our group requested sweet potato as a substitute for white potatoes. The next evening she was presented with two of the largest sweet potatoes we'd ever seen!

Windjammer Cafe

Onboard Activities

We enjoyed the main pool and the solarium.

Entertainment

Thoroughly enjoyed the karaoke, finish the lyric, name that tune and trivia. Nick, Markus, Jason and Gabby were always fun and upbeat.

Centrum

Children's Programs

didn't travel with children

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
From Geedee our room steward, Stanley and Justin in the MDR, our favorite bar waitress Ty (Safari/Schooner and all over) the level of hospitality and service was top notch.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
I like the layout of the ship. It is very easy to get around. I found Serenade to be very well kept and maintained.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Our cabin was very comfortable. The mattress was a bit firm for my liking. The size of our cabin was just right for the two of us. Plenty of closet space and under bed storage for luggage. The bathroom seemed small upon arrival, but really is a good size and is set up nicely. No space is wasted. The cabin and bathroom were always impeccably cleaned.

Ship tip

It's a beautiful ship, but not a modern ship. There is plenty to do, but none of the ice rink, bumper cars, waterslides of the larger, newer ships.

Ports of call

Boston, Massachusetts Did not visit port

Drove to Boston on the morning of the embarkation. Did not do anything there.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

St. John's, Antigua

Spent the day at the beach. Rough surf but beautiful experience.

Bridgetown, Barbados

Took a taxi to Harbour Lights resort. Beautiful beach. Calm surf.

Oranjestad, Aruba

5 out of 5
My most favorite beach. Rented UTVs from Dawn at Ruff Riders. Rode from Orenjestad (port) across the island (about 40 min) to Baby Beach. Beautiful island.

Willemstad, Curacao

5 out of 5
Favorite island. Beautiful port city. Shopped and walked around Willemstad. Only reason we didn't go to the beach was because we simply had too much sun by the last port.

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

The port was easy to maneuver...after we spent 2 hrs standing in line waiting to go through customs with our luggage. The taxi stand/ride sharing area is convenient to the exit.

Disembarkation

2 out of 5
Disembarkation was smooth...until we had to go through customs and waited 2 hrs.
