Review summary

It was a great trip. Weather was fantastic. Some of the staff on board seem like they were just going through the motions. This is our third cruise in the last 12 months and I’d rank it number 2 as far as everything related to the staff on the ship.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Fast and easy check in.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Main dining room service was fantastic. Our wait staff couldn’t have been better! They were prompt and efficient! Wish the fish options would have been better!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We didn’t get in the pools or climb the wall! Everyone found something to keep busy

Casino Royale

2 out of 5

Staff was very indifferent to everyone. First time I’ve never been able to have a conversation with staff in a casino. Bar staff were much more friendly there than the dealers or pit bosses. Not a friendly atmosphere or attitude.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We enjoyed all of the shows. Last night was the only night there was a comedian on board

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Room stewards, waiters in dining rooms were all outstanding. Casino staff never had a smile on their face never interacted with anyone. I play a lot of blackjack and when I’m winning I tip the dealers. They all seem to be robots in the casino. No one was happy except for the guy announcing prize winners. First cruise I’ve ever been on that I never had a conversation with at least one or more people dealing in the pit area? Bar staff were exceptional!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Ship seemed to be well maintained!

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Was fine for the two of us plenty of space. A love seat to relax on.

Ship tip

The Safari lounge is a quiet place to escape to with pool tables when there isn’t an activity going on. Mixed drinks were cheaper in the Pub?

Ports of call

Boston, Massachusetts

Portland, Maine

We did a 2 hour lighthouse tour that was fantastic. Booked off the ship small group!

Bar Harbor, Maine

Was our favorite port! The tour of the Acadia National Park was fantastic!

Saint John, New Brunswick

3 out of 5
Did a 5 hour wine tour. Some of the worst wine we ever had. Tour was riding in a bus not many stops to see. Guide talked mostly about growing up and teaching in the area.

Halifax, Nova Scotia

4 out of 5
Went to Peggy’s Cove, which was breathtaking. Weather was excellent so we were able to see and climb around the rocks.

Disembarkation

No issues we were off a little sooner than our announced time. Suitcases were easy to get to and find
