Review summary

The first 7 days,at sea were very relaxing. Hitting France, Belgium and The Netherlands on three consecutive days was a little hectic and wore my wife out.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Boarding the ship at Port Everglades was a breeze.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We ate dinner in the main dining room every night except one. The food was excellent and our waiter, Cliff and assistant, Michael were among the best we have ever had. We did not cost any of the speciality restaurants and the one dinner we had at the Windjammer Buffet was acceptable.

Onboard Activities

1 out of 5
We did not partake in any of the onboard activities.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We enjoyed the Headliner Shows.

Children's Programs

Two Senior Citizens traveling without children.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our cabin steward Budi was excellent and we were welcomed by a new towel animal each night. As mentioned above, our waiter Cliff and assistant Michael we among the best we have ever had. The bar service people in the casino were excellent as were the casino dealers.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The Serenade of the Seas is an older ship and does not have all the bells and whistles of the newer larger vessels, but it was clean and everything was in working order.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Cabin was clean and comfortable but are at of them large enough.

Ship tip

If you are used to the larger ships were food is available around the clock, you may be disappointed. After 11 PM, the only option is room service.
