Perfect time of year to sail, met a great group of people, there were a lot of options for things to do (if you choose to participate), friendly and helpful staff.

Review summary

A great vacation! I appreciate Scott's knowledgeable advice. He was extremely helpful in selecting the cruise and the right stateroom. I have already contacted him for information on other cruises.

Embarkation

No wait. Personal service. Excellent.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
I wasn't thrilled with the food in the Windjammer or some of the evening dining room meals. The speciality restaurants were very good, especially Chops.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
I didn't participate in a lot of activities on the ship but I did enjoy the walking track and the shops.

Entertainment

I didn't attend any of the entertainment. The singer that I heard from the stage in the middle of the ship was very good.

Children's Programs

Didn't have any kids with me.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Stateroom attendant (Terry) was excellent. Waiter in Schooner Bar (Melina) was personable and helpful. Mario in the Diamond lounge was extremely helpful and friendly. Oscar (one of the head waiters) was very thoughtful and helpful. I asked about poppy seed muffins and he had some sent to our table prepared specially for us. Waiter (Marco?) in Chops was very good. Omar was a friendly and conscientious attendant in the solarium.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
I would give the ship a 4.5 rating. There were some areas that could have been cleaner (e.g., ceiling in the stateroom). Overall, its a beautiful ship and staff worked hard to ensure cleanliness.

Cabin / Stateroom

It was a little difficult to maneuver around the beds. My bed was harder than what I was used to and took some time to get comfortable. We could have done without the sofa and had more room. Enjoyed the balcony although we didn't use it a lot.

Ship tip

If you don't like large ships, this is a good choice.

Disembarkation

Very difficult to find a porter and the terminal we left from was different from where we arrived. Had to walk a long way with luggage to get to car. However, once we found a porter, he was excellent and helped us find where our car was parked.
