Review summary

One of our best cruises ever! Ports were so interesting. A couple days of rough seas in North Atlantic, however Captain did excellent job preparing passengers and making it an easier experience. Entertainment was excellent. Ship could use some touch ups....showing its age. Looking forward to returning on Serenade for a Carribean cruise next January!

We did the wine tasting excursion from the ship. Tour was great but wine tasting was a disappointment as it was in a hotel lobby.

Cobh (Cork), Ireland

Took excursion to Blarney and Kinsale through Viator and had a wonderful experience.

Le Havre (Paris), France

We rented a car for the day and drove to Juno Beach, being Canadian. Visited the centre and Beny Sur Mer war cemetery. Village of Beny Sur Mer is with a visit. Looks like a town during WW2 era. Too bad RC wouldn’t cater some tours for Canadians. All tours went to Normandy.

Zeebrugge (Bruges), Belgium

Absolutely beautiful town (Brugge). We did a RC beer tasting excursion and it was wonderful. Lots of chocolate and lace shops.

Amsterdam, Netherlands

Tulip festival excursion is well worth the visit. So many variations of tulips and orchids!

Copenhagen, Denmark

Our favourite port. Stayed 3 extra days. Did a walking food tour through Viator on the same day we vacated ship. Well worth it. Food is fabulous in Copenhagen.

Cruising with princess to Le Harve. I was also hoping for the Canadian D-Day experience. Might look into the car rental. Where did you rent from?

I thought Serenade had work done on her in the fall.
