Review summary

This was a great cruise on a smaller ship. The ports more than made up for that. We are used to the Oasis of the seas but those can't get into the smaller ports like this one can. There are 20 bars, 3 fine dining restaurants and 3 pools. They have lots of activities going on but not as much to do like on the larger ship. The ports of call make it all worth wild! Take a cruise on this ship.

Embarkation

Embankment went smooth.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The food in the main dinning room was restaurant quality. We didn't try any of the specialty restaurants. The buffet cafe was ordinary at best. Almost the same thing everyday. Not as much as a variety as on the larger ships. But it was ok.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
The main pool and the solarium pools are nice. The fitness center a little small for my taste but it was a smaller ship so it was good and very clean.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
She singers and dancers were fabulous! The DJ's keep it going on. The entainers they brought on board were fantastic!

Tropical Theater

5 out of 5

The magic show was the best ever! The touring Abracadabra (ABBA) singing group was fantastic!

Children's Programs

No kids with us

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The main dinning room waiters we had were the best ever by far.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship was very clean and constantly cleaned and wiped down. They out was good for a smaller ship. Easy to figure it out.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The cabin was clean and a decent size. The bed was perfect for my husband but I would have liked it a little more softer.

Ship tip

Once you have sailed on the larger ships the smaller ones can't compare. But the ports of call will more than make up for the ship size.

Ports of call

St. John's, Antigua

We did a safari 4x4 excursion that was fun. A little hard for me getting in and out of the back of the jeep as I'm short. We also did a rum tasting excursion that also fed us snacks with the rum pairing. It was fun.

Castries, St. Lucia

Such a beautiful lush island. Our excursion was a bus ride around the island.

Bridgetown, Barbados

Beautiful island. Each port was better than the last but had it's own unique personality about it. The excursions are always great!

Willemstad, Curacao

This was my favorite island of all. I could live here. The people are laid back and friendly. Not pushy in the stores. The market street was fresh fruits, veggies and fish. It's a shame we could not bring anything back. We got a passion fruit with honey and a coconut with a straw in it for $1 Each. A great snack on our walking tour.

Oranjestad, Aruba

Beautiful water and island. We did an excursion at every port. Sometimes we did 2. This is a beautiful island but much more busier with hotels and resorts, etc. Farther out into the island you see the beauty.

Disembarkation

We did early check out and we got out quickly through customs.
