Review summary

We had a wonderful time on this cruise. We got a very low fare for a balcony room and were very pleased with everything. Their staff is their best asset, though. Excellent!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Very good mid-range food. Well prepared, nice presentation and tasty. If you want steak or other higher end items, you should upgrade to the dining packages they sell though.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
People were having lots of fun with the line dancing classes. Pools were as expected, small but well kept. Lots of lounge chairs meant we didn't have to rush to to secure a seat at any point. Bingo was too expensive for the prizes they were giving. Minimum $29 for 3 games. They made big $ (maybe $4-5K) and gave out around $1K total. No real library on board. They have a small section behind some pool tables with some bookshelves stocked with just so-so books. Holland line has much better libraries. Fitness center is first class. Large area, lots of room and lots of high end equipment. Many treadmills and bikes meant no waiting! Excellent!

Entertainment

Shows were same as most ships -- comedy 2 nights and various singing/dancing on the other nights. Theater is very nice. I liked the outdoor movies by the pool in the evenings. First run shows on big screen. Like going to the drive in! Note -- bring snacks!

Service and Staff

Excellent service throughout the ship. Very polite, accommodating staff. Our cabin steward was nearly invisible, but kept our cabin wonderfully nice! Top drawer.

Key West, Florida

It's always great to visit Key West! We took the Trolley Tour for the first time this trip and were very glad we did. It tours the entire island and our guide gave us some great information on the history of the island as well as tips on good places to go/see.

Coxen Hole, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

Awesome place. We took the Sand and Sea Tour offered through cruises.com. It's run by RRI on the island, and they seem to be an awesome group of people. We got to experience every kind of life on the island -- from the very poor areas to the very rich areas. Beautiful day on water and on land. Don't miss this tour. Andy was a fabulous guide -- lots of interesting info and history.

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

Another great place! We had planned on going to their town, but stayed in the port area because it was so awesome! They have a huge pool -- FREE! Lots of shops, restaurants, entertainment, swimming with stingrays (fee), etc. Very nice. Be sure to haggle with shop keepers and watch the exchange rate.

Cozumel, Mexico

I hadn't been to Cozumel in many years, and they've really grown! Port area has lots of shops and some restaurants. Very nice area We took the Jose Cuervo tour offered by RCI. It was EXCELLENT. We learned A LOT about tequila -- many interesting facts we didn't know. Tasted some excellent Tequila, had a fabulous margarita made with tasty seasonings around the rim instead of the usual salt, had a wonderful lunch, toured a great museum and replicas of Mayan buildings and visited a very nice gift shop as well. Awesome!
