Review summary

I put this cruise off for a while. Now that I've taken it, it was well worth it. I highly recommend it. Bring warm clothes. The temp changes unexpectedly.

Embarkation

Smooth as butter

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Rita Cantina was a big disappointment. Main dining did not have a good selection so we ate at the Windjammer every night except Captain's night.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Too cool to participate in outdoor activities (for me)

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The stage shows were very good. Great singing and dancing. The excerpts from Hairspray, Chicago and Westside Story were fantastic. So glad I didn't miss it.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our room attendant was simply the best. He moved in and out of our room without us seeing him. We would leave for a few minutes come back and we have a complimentary bottle of wine or we would have towel pillows. He was fantastic.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Great layout. Areas were very easy to find. You constantly saw person's wiping down the rails and glass on the different decks. They took our health serious.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Very comfortable and spacious.

Ship tip

Prepare for a great time. The staff is there to assist you in any way. They are there to make you cruise a wonderful experience.

Ports of call

Boston, Massachusetts

We toured the city on our own. I've been to Boston before so I knew exactly where I wanted to hang out (Back Bay area). Great shops and food.

Bar Harbor, Maine

Very cold. Toured on our own. Great shops. Prices were a little more than I expected.

Saint John, New Brunswick

Tours were not that great. We did a tour through a company not connected with Royal. It was cheaper and covered most of what we would have gotten through Royal.

Halifax, Nova Scotia

Enjoyed this city. I expected it be more quaint but it was very modern.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Went very well. No issues
