Review summary
The crew were very friendly and, by & large, the cruise was wonderful (even especially the detour to Dover because the French dockworkers were on strike). I even think the food overall was better than the last time we sailed on Serenade (although some of the desserts could use a little work). The only complaint is that somewhere along the line they have decided to turn the Centrum into a nightclub with excruciatingly loud music (especially the steel drum) until 11 pm. Even closing the fire doors in the hallway didn't help much. We have had a cabin near the Centrum before and there was no problem but this trip the music was cranked way up. It would be fine if they had some guitar or piano music there and night and move the louder music to one of the other venues but loud seems to be the latest big thing because we noticed some nights it in the main theater as well. Are all sound engineers deaf??
